The connection string path of your Db2 connection.

If you include optional properties, they must follow the database name, separated by a colon (:). Each property=value pair, including the last one, must end with a semicolon (;).

jdbc:db2://${host}:50000/owldb2:property=value;property=value;

When referring to the example below, replace the ${value} sections of the connection URL with your actual value.

Allows you to manage usage and restrict visibility to only the necessary schemas in the Explorer tree.

When you include a restricted schema in the query of a DQ Job, the query scope may be overwritten when the job runs. While only the schemas you selected when you set up the connection are shown in the Explorer menu, users are not restricted from running SQL queries on any schema from the data source.

The method to authenticate your connection.

The configuration requirements are different depending on the Auth Type you select. See Authentication for more details on available authentication types.

The file path that contains the script file that the password manager uses to interact with and authenticate a user account.

An additional parameter to authenticate your Db2 connection. | | {% endtab %} | | | | {% endtabs %} | | | ## Limitations * Because the DATE\_TRUNC does not exist in Db2 for z/OS operating systems, the date visualization graph under the Time Slice component on the [Select rows](/data-quality-self-hosted/core-concepts/explorer/create-a-dq-job/select-rows.md) step in Explorer will not load. * Source queries that contain `WITH UR` are only supported by Db2 connections. * When setting up Db2 for z/OS connectivity, you may encounter a license error. If this occurs, you can upload the license file as an additional CLASSPATH environment variable.
