## Connecting to Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse (SQL Analytics Endpoint)

This section contains details for connecting to the Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse SQL Analytics Endpoint. The SQL Analytics Endpoint is a read-only, T-SQL–queryable surface automatically provisioned over the Delta tables in a Fabric Lakehouse. It connects to Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) using the packaged Microsoft SQL Server JDBC driver and Active Directory Service Principal authentication.

### Known limitations

* The SQL Analytics Endpoint is read-only. Write operations (INSERT, CREATE TABLE) are not supported.
* Because the endpoint is read-only, Archive Break Records are not supported for this connection.
* Columns whose names start with a special character or a number may cause job creation to fail in both Pullup and Pushdown modes.
* Metadata fields (for example, Number of Columns and Creation Date) may appear as "N/A" in Pushdown jobs because the dm\_db\_partition\_stats dynamic management view is not supported in Microsoft Fabric.

## Connecting to Microsoft Fabric Warehouse

This section contains details for connecting to a Microsoft Fabric Warehouse. Microsoft Fabric Warehouse is a fully transactional, T-SQL data warehouse in Microsoft Fabric. It connects to Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) using the packaged Microsoft SQL Server JDBC driver and Active Directory Service Principal authentication.

### Minimum user permissions

To bring your Fabric Warehouse data into Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted), you need the following permissions.

* Read access on the Fabric Warehouse tables.
* A Microsoft Entra service principal with the Member or Contributor role in the Fabric workspace.
* ROLE\_ADMIN assigned to your user in Collibra DQ.

### Known limitations

* Metadata fields (for example, Number of Columns and Creation Date) appear as "N/A" in Pushdown jobs because the dm\_db\_partition\_stats dynamic management view is not supported in Fabric Warehouse.
* Correlation results appear as "N/A" in Pushdown jobs due to an arithmetic overflow limitation.
* Archive Break Records are not supported for Fabric Warehouse connections (the same limitation as SQL Server Pushdown).
* Columns whose names start with a special character or a number may cause job creation to fail in both Pullup and Pushdown modes.
