# Validating Findings
When you apply a validate label to a finding, you can assign it to another Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) user to review. You can assign any job findings to a user who has previously logged into the Collibra DQ application (internal user) or one who has a matching ServiceNow account (external user). This marks the finding for future runs and sends it to the internal Assignments Queue.

The Assignments actions (Validate, Invalidate, Resolved) are disabled by default. To enable them, in [Admin Limits](/data-quality-self-hosted/admin-configuration/admin-console/configuration-settings/admin-limits.md), set **valsrcdisableaq** to **false**, and then re-run the job.

The ServiceNow integration does not currently support SSO users.

To configure a queue, you must have ROLE\_ADMIN or ROLE\_CONNECTION\_MANAGER.

## Steps

Select one of the findings of a previously run DQ job.

In the Status column, click **Unassigned**. The Edit Assignment dialog box appears.

Click the **Action** dropdown and click **Validate**. The Edit Assignment dialog box updates to display additional options.

Individual - Assign to one user
Group - Assign to a group of users

| Assignee | Collibra DQ user. Select the user from this dropdown.
If you do not select an assignee, the item is marked as valid but unassigned: Acknowledged.
Saves the validation settings for all the assignments listed on the current tab.
When you validate all findings without assigning them to a user, they are marked as "Acknowledged" on the Findings page and "Verified" on the Assignments Queue.
