# Integration architecture

This section shows the architecture of an integration of Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) with Collibra Platform.

## Integration Control Panel

This diagram shows the flow of events upon the initial configuration of a [new integration](/data-quality-self-hosted/integrations/configuring-a-new-integration.md) between Data Quality & Observability (self-hosted) and Collibra Platform. This uses the [Integration API](/data-quality-self-hosted/apis/rest/integration-api.md) to communicate between Collibra DQ and Collibra Platform.
