A permission is an authorization that grants access to a specific application or feature in Collibra or allows users to view or edit a particular resource, such as an asset, a workflow, or a data quality rule. Users do not receive permissions directly; instead, they inherit permissions through their assigned global roles and responsibilities. Collibra provides a set of predefined permissions included in the default roles, as a starting point for managing access control.

Collibra has two types of permissions:

Collibra has several types of permissions, based on the license type that a user needs to act on the permission.
